What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is the act of empowerment, expanding
people’s awareness through powerful questioning
technologies and leveraging their gifts and talents
within themselves much faster than others could do on
their own. It all starts with “YOU” gaining the
“CLARITY” of your “VALUES”, making positive and
meaningful “CHOICES” towards your goals you would like
to obtain and by taking consistent “ACTIONS”. Through
coaching, you will identify areas of your life you’d
like to learn more about, re-define, recognize,
eliminate, strengthen, and improve. It’s with these
discoveries that enable you to reconnect and align
your mental, emotional and physical state of beings.
This ongoing partnership helps clients produce a more
balanced, healthy, happy and meaningful quality of
life in their Personally, Professionally, and
Spiritual worlds. With this new awareness and
recognition brings a new shift in perception, allowing
you to be focused and “present” in the world you live
and create. The focus of being coached is to find the
following in yourself:
The
How’s vs. The Why’s
The Outcomes vs. The Problems
The Possibilities vs. Necessities
The Mores vs. The Lesses
The Positives vs. The Negatives
The Curiosities vs. The Assumptions
The Successes vs. The Failures
What Life Coaching Isn't?
You’ll be very happy to know that Life Coaching isn’t
acts of witch craft or voodoo.
It also isn’t the following:
“Religion-based”, which goes into depth about the
origins of God.
“Therapy”, which goes into depth about various issues,
usually dealing with the past.
“Counseling” which generally results in giving the
client answers.
“Psychology.” which is the science that deals with
mental processes and behavior of an individual.
“Psychiatry.” which is the branch of medicine that
deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
mental and emotional disorders.
It’s important to realize and understand that Life
Coaching is more action-oriented and focuses primarily
on the present and future.
In
Life Coaching, the client determines their own
“answers” and finding their own “A-HA” moments, while
working together in a partnership during the coaching
session. A Life Coach holds the clients responsible
and accountable.
Who is a Certified Life
Coach?
A Certified Life Coach is an individual who has been
educated and trained by an advanced school or
college. After graduation, this individual receives a
certification giving them the ability to help others
move forward from where they are today and to achieve
successes in goals that will bring true happiness in
oneself. They offer support and encouragement,
without passing judgment or holding anything back.
They make you responsible . . . for yourself. They
are there every step of the way during your time of
enlightenment, while honoring your light. They help
clients confidently shift perceptions and offer new
possibilities within themselves, by creating a safe
and supportive environment that produces ongoing
mutual respect and trust. They also help unlock and
open new doors giving you the ability to now walk
through them with a new defined sense of truth and
strength, in the pursuit of the goal you had in mind.
What Types of People Need a
Life Coach?
Anyone can need a life coach. Life coaching isn’t
based on anyone’s sex, race, religion, color, national
origin, age, disability and any other characteristics.
There aren’t any specific types of people, other than
those who want more out of life: a better job, a more
meaningful relationship (with a loved one –friends
–family), a healthier way of looking and feeling good,
a better outlook or quality of life full of passion
and purpose. There are no boundaries other than your
own.
And that’s the point of Life Coaching, getting what
you “WANT” in living your life full of the happiness
that you truly deserve. It’s simple really.
Just ask yourself what you want more of and learn how
to get rid of the things that are holding you back.
Don’t worry. We all get a little lost sometimes and
that’s ok. The point is we are “ALL” human.
Sometimes we feel happy and sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we feel disappointed and let ourselves
down. The importance is to take notice of your
feelings and emotions and go get what you want in
living positively and productively.
What are the Benefits?
The greatest BENEFIT of being life coached is
the learning process of how to move forward from where
you are today and getting what you truly want out of
your own life.
Whether you are wanting to “Re-write” your life’s
story, “Live” in the present moment, “Love” from the
depths of your heart, “Achieve” the goals that bring
you happiness, “Believe” in your greatness, “Discover”
your happiness from within, “Explore” the passions in
your heart, “Leap” without worrying about a net,
“Conquer” the fears that hold you back, “Value”
yourself and achieve success, “Travel” and take a
journey into yourself….it’s all about taking back your
life and not taking yourself for granted. However, the
most important benefit of being coached, is to
discover the “KEY” that’s within “YOU”!
People do not realize that if we change one little
thing about ourselves it will have a positive effect
on so many other things. For a moment, picture
yourself in front of calm pool of water. You pick up a
tiny pebble and toss it in. You watch and notice a
ripple starts from the center and works its way out.
By simply making a single change in your life you can
change your entire world and be one step closer to any
goal that you truly believe in. Your life becomes that
ripple in the water and positive things start
happening because you are making them happen.
We all know the ABC’s of life, but have you ever heard
of the CBA’s? Napoleon Hill, an American author who
was one of the earliest producers of the modern genre
of personal-success literature, wrote a famous quote
in the 1900’s that stated, “"Whatever the mind of man
can Conceive and Believe, it can Achieve." So if you
take a moment and can C-conceive in an idea or
feeling, B-believe in the idea or feeling then you can
A-achieve the idea or feeling you truly want.
The other Benefits of being coached are the
discoveries of your TRUTH, the understanding of your
KNOWING, the believing in your MEANING, the
comprehension of your CLARITY, the setting of GOALS,
the connection towards your greatest ASSETS, and the
shedding of fears, anxieties and self-doubts that
might be been holding yourself back from getting the
“Happiness” that you truthfully want out of life.

Why are Goals So Important?
Every day you hear people talking about setting and
reaching their goals. By breaking down their
importance you can see that it’s important to set
obtainable goals that aren’t out of your reach.
When goals are set, things happen. They “HELP” you
feel good about yourself, “PROVIDE” attitude
adjustments, “ESTABLISH” self-discipline and
motivation,
“GIVE” you direction and purpose, “TAKE” you toward
where you want to go, “CREATE” good habits and
patterns to follow and “ELIMINATE” others from
controlling your life.
Set a goal to discipline yourself. If you don’t,
others will.
Reasons Most People Don't Set
Goals?
The reasons why most people don’t set
goals for themselves is because they “FEAR”
commitment, failure or success. They lack focus,
have a poor attitude and don’t understand the “VALUE”
in their life. They just plain don’t “WORK” for
that in which they want.
Why is a Life Coach Better
Than Your Friends, Family, Significant Other &
Co-Workers?
Did you ever get the feeling that the people in your
life think they have all the answers and that they
know how to fix you? In all your years, you’ve
probably heard these statements before…this is what
you should do, if I were you I would, I know you
better than anyone, so trust me when I say……
Our loved one’s mean well and they want us to be
happy, but they are giving you a biased opinion in
what they think you should do. When you are being life
coached, you are working with someone who only wants
to help move you forward, making you aware of your
thoughts and feelings, while alerting you to where you
are on a specific topic and having you take actions so
that you can make positive choices that will enhance
your life. They are always focusing on showing you
what you have right in front of you and how to rise
above the fears, anxieties and self doubts that hold
you back from your greatness. They are there every
step of the way through good and bad times. They are
direct in their approach to help you in never giving
up. They become your personal cheerleader and self
motivator. They give homework so you can start
learning about your patterns and how to overcome them.
Your best interest is always on their minds.
What the Media and Press Say
About Coaching?

“The goal of coaching is the goal of good management—
to make the most of a persons valuable resources.

“Coaching is an action-oriented partnership that,
unlike psychotherapy, which delves into patterns of
the past, concentrates on where you are today and how
to reach your goals.”

“A coach is part advisor, part sounding board, part
cheerleader, part manager, and part strategist … The
coach prods the client to keep to the action plan.”

“Who exactly seeks out a coach? Winners
who want more out of life.”

“Part consultant, part motivational
speaker...coaches work with managers, entrepreneurs,
and just plain folks, helping them define and achieve
their goals.”

“The benefits of coaching appear to win
over even the most cynical of clients within just a
few weeks.”

“THE EXECUTIVE says his fears disappeared when his
supervisor described the proposed coaching as an
opportunity ‘to get some outside points of view on
what we do’.”

“Once used to bolster troubled
staffers, coaching now is part of the standard
development training for elite executives and talented
up-and-comers.”

“As for coaching, having someone listen
to you and encourage you, and break everything down
into easy concrete steps is rather nice.”

"[Coaches] are becoming popular with professionals and
entrepreneurs seeking to improve their performance in
business, to better their relationships, and to help
set goals."
